Once again it is SXSW time in Austin. This year, there are 1900 bands
performing in this 4 day Music Festival. See below for excerpt from NY
Times article

AUSTIN, Tex. — Music still has fans. That’s the annual affirmation at
the South by Southwest Music Festival, known as SXSW, a music
conference and staging ground for some 1,900 acts that brings platoons
of clubgoers downtown here every spring — some paying up to $695 for
an official registration badge, others freeloading at the many
unofficial parties and showcases that give bands multiple chances to
perform during the festival’s four most frenetic days.

This year there are 22 bands listed in the "Jazz" genre (all
unfamiliar) and about double that in Alternative Country which
includes Western Swing Bands like Hot Club of Cowtown and Marshall
Ford Swing Band.

Question: Have any OKOM bands on these chat lists ever applied for a
spot, or ever performed at this festival? If so, what's it like?

Cheers,
