Dear all,

I invited the Antti Sarpila Swing Band (a quartet) to the Bohém Festival
last year. Marian Petrescu is the pianist with Antti and I had heard
them before at the Pori Jazz, so I knew how great Marian was. And is. He
DOES PLAY jazz, no doubt. And he's got a flashy technique, no doubt. He
can play wonderful harmonies, he is a nice guy etc. He adores others, he
respects all musicians, he is never satisfied with himself and he is
creative, he does his own stuff. It is jazz. I published one tune on You
Tube they played at the Bohém festival, check it out at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1dHdyNqsj4 - unifrtunatley it is also a
fast tune but they did play slow tunes, too, wonderfully. Cheers,
