Dear Paul, Dave, Steve and all,
As an Australian, born in Melbourne (Mellbun) I pronounce the above as
sax-OFF-on-ist, the neckst two as you have written them and syl-ubble,
I also say mike-rophone, mike, tel-EFF-onist, tel-o-phone and deaF-
erence.
Well I think I do.
Our clarynetist, Jack Wiard (ex-Californian) may not hear it that way.
