[Dixielandjazz] U.K. or England?

The U.K. consists of four countries "united" into one "kingdom:" England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.  Scots (and no doubt others) get a bit testy when "England" is used in lieu of U.K.

In my list of countries, should I say UK?  Or England?  I also have Wales 
listed as a separate country.
