This reminds me of a story told to me by a trumpet playing friend.

He had been hired for a gig in a "New Orleans" style four
piece band. Trumpet, Bass, Banjo & Reeds. All the guys
in the band were 50+

At then end of their first number, someone came up to
them and asked. Which one of you is the Jamie Cullum
look alike?

It turns out a series of Chinese whispers between the
client, organisers and booking agent translated
"Something like Jamie Cullum" into a trad jazz band.

Still, they got paid, had a good time and maybe even
converted some people to OKOM :-)

It also high-lights that despite what some may think of
Jamie Cullum, he is helping our music get to a wider audience.
