Dear John,
An interesting interview.
As jazz kids in the late 1940s we wore out the early Sister Rosetta
and the Sister Rosetta/Marie Knight records with the Sammy Price Trio.
At the end of the BBC interview there was an oblique reference to a
commercial.
Is that something that appeared recently in the UK?
For those interested, the complete Rosetta Tharpe recordings 1938-1951
were issued in France by Frémeaux (6 CDs).
A great set.
Kind regards,
Bill.
