Because the live recordings, if not over-remastered or remixed, better 
convey the excitement and the atmosphere of the show, when it's good. 
When it isn't, no remastering will help. 

Having said that, I still consider the Condon part of "Coast to Coast 
Jam Session" the best Condon I have.  Unfortunately, I have not heard 
the "Midnight in Moscow" album.
