Bill Haesler wrote that Asleep At The Wheel Was a Young Band.

Dear Bill:

They were formed almost 40 years ago, in 1970, in Paw Paw, West  
Virginia. I guess some of the originals died or retired. <grin>

Then again, pianist Paul Shaffer is only 59 and Vince Gill will only  
be 52 this April. Mere kids hanging around with Old Willie. <grin>
