Traditional New Orleans Funeral Service For The Year 2009. 10:45 AM  
till noon.

The Barbone Street Jazz Band will provide New Orleans Jazz for a  
Traditional New Orleans Jazz Funeral for the year 2009. Gathering  
music Starts at 10:40 AM and continues throughout the Service which  
goes from 11 AM to Noon or so. Write down what you wish closure for on  
slips of paper (provided) and deposit them in the casket on the alter  
to the strains of Just A Closer Walk With Thee. We will then bury them  
in traditional New Orleans Fashion.

The music will be New Orleans Jazz dirges, and gospel followed by  
uptempo second line selections as the service describes what typically  
happens during a New Orleans Funeral Service. (A joyous release from  
the trials and tribulations of life) Musical selections include  
Walkin' With The King, Just A Little While to Stay Here, Precious Lord  
Take My Hand, Down By The Riverside. What A Wonderful World, etc.

This is a wonderful event, and has been SRO during the past few years.  
Swing dancers and others are encouraged to dance in the aisles during  
the service. There will be a rousing Second Line at conclusion to  
"When The Saints Come Marching In.
