Hi Jude:

I think Jim's first trip to the UK was 21 years ago. He has since  
performed there more than 30 times. But the Britons did not discover  
Jim any more than Columbus "discovered" America. He was performing to  
rave reviews in the USA for about 10 years prior to that UK trip.

So we colonials knew he was always here, just like Americans Indians  
knew America was always here.
