[Dixielandjazz] Johathan Russell Media Hype in NYC

Nothing succeeds like a little media hype.

Here's a quick update for those in the NYC area. The local media is  
jumping on his appearance with Wynton Marsalis and the LCJB next  
weekend at Rose Hall in Lincoln Center. (Nov 6-7-8)

1) CBS-TV Morning Local News in NYC will air an interview with  
Marsalis about the concert. They have asked "J" to appear also and so  
"J" will be playing during the lead into commercial breaks and out of  
those breaks. Not sure yet if Wynton will be playing along with him.  
If in the NYC TV area, tune in around 9:30 AM Saturday, Nov 1. Wynton  
scheduled to be interviewed at 9:45 AM, Saturday, Nov 1.

2) The NY Daily News (newspaper) did a profile on Jonathan that will  
appear in the Bronx-Manhattan section this weekend. If I can get it on  
line, I will forward it.

3) Jonathan was also profiled in a monthly teen and pre-teen magazine  
that distributes 120,000 copies a month to schools in the NYC area..
