Hi all,

I got this from my friend Tony Clements - for those in the San Jose CA
general area, you might want to check out this concert. I know several
of the musicians in the band and they are quite good. Not much jazz,
but closely related...

For immediate Release

There is a new band in town, and we invite you to be a part of our
exciting first concert. The Silicon Valley Brass Band, under the
direction of Tony Clements, will present its inaugural concert on
Sunday, November 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Mission College, 3000 Mission
College Blvd., Santa Clara, in the Hospitality-Management Building,
near Parking Lot C. Suggested donation is $10.

SVBB is a 30-piece brass and percussion ensemble formed in the
tradition of a brass band, which has a very unique, rich sound. The
group is made up of talented volunteer musicians from all over the Bay
Area and is associated with Mission College in Santa Clara.

The concert will display the wide musical range of a brass band, from
marches and classical selections to big band style jazz and even rock
music. Selections include Fanfare & Flourishes, Miller Magic, Ritual
Fire Dance, Montagues & Capulets, Amazing Grace, and Bohemian
Rhapsody. You have to hear it to believe it!

We hope to see you at our first concert. For more information go to
www.siliconvalleybrass.com or
call (408) 439-6143.
