Thank you for reading the review.

Yes, there IS a viable young audience out there if bands want to reach  
out to them. Or, as Igor Glenn says, "if we are willing to meet them  
halfway." Note that the reviewer also said: "A wide demographic made  
up Sunday night's large audience at the Music Pier. . . ." and   
"Barbone Street . . . giving the crowd what they came for in good  
measure."

I Started talking about viable young audiences about 8 years ago,  
starting with a remark that with the success of Jazz at Lincoln  
Center, there never was a better time for USA jazz bands to get their  
music heard, IF they got pro-active. Bless Wynton and Ken Burns. They  
made it easy to get jazz gigs.

Those USA bands that do not have young audiences either do not want  
them, or are nor trying very hard.
