Dear Anton,
I remember that 1954 film 'Dragnet' well, but it's been a long while
since I last saw it.
My files indicate the tune was a 3-chorus blues and that:
Dick Cathcart has a speaking part (as Roy Cleaver).
There are appearances by pianist Ray Sherman and trombonist Elmer
'Moe' Schneider.
The band on the soundtrack also included Matty Matlock, cl; George Van
Eps, g; and Nick Fatool, d.
Which adds up to a sextet. I have no info regarding a bass player.
How about an mp3 of the performance?
(For research purposes only.)
Kind regards,
Bill.
