[Dixielandjazz] STJS Mentoring Sets

Many of our guest stars appearing at the monthly concerts of the Sacramento
Traditional Jazz Society volunteer to conduct a mentoring set with youth
musicians before the regular concerts.

RIO LEARNS TRAD

Rio Americano H.S. Band students Matt Bringedahl on clarinet and Michael
Storm on trombone were among eight students who participated in a jam
session mentored by special guest trumpeter Duke Heitger from New
Orleans at the September
Jazz Sunday Concert at
the Dante Club.

The next
Guest Artist Mentor Set is
scheduled for November
9th at 12 noon in the
Gold Card Room with
guest artist Jim Rothermel from San Francisco
