I have added 202 songs to my collection of lead sheets.
That brings the number to 2969.
I have just updated the list on my web site at:
http://www.mainely-jazz.com/leadsheets_new/
To acquire any of these you would need to send me $5 per song,
for which you get Concert lead sheet, Concert Bass Clef, Bb Lead sheet,
(all without lyrics - to reduce the # of pages.plus
a Concert lead sheet with lyrics if I have done them and a midi file
created from the lead sheet and using Band in a Box to insert a relatively
mundane rhythm line
.
At the moment your request would be sent to
Craig Johnson
187 Sea Road
Kennebunk Maine 04043 with a personal check and the list of the
tunes desired.
I am also open for trades of your lead sheet for mine as long as I can
add them to this list and sell them. (Even that might be negotiable if
I really, really want the particular tune for my own band.)
At the moment I have no specific collections of multiple lead sheets
for a lower price than buying them individually, but am open to suggestions.
I would then, within a couple of days, e-mail the pdf files to you from
which you could print as many copies as you desire.
As I've said many times before, I have tried to avoid the old war-horses
that can better be procured from Dave Littlefield's pair of fine Dixieland lead sheet books,
(--- I started this project to fill in the rarer tunes, not in most Dixieland fake books.)
In a few cases I have put in some "standards", but not from Dave's books (e.g, I may
have gotten them from the Firehouse Jazz Band Fake Book, which I believe is no
longer available for purchase.)
On the web page listed above, you will see a couple of links to
samples of two lead sheets so you can see their quality.
I am working (not very hard, nor fast) on trying to set the site up to
accept credit cards or payments through Pay Pal, tho' I can't say
when that might actually "eventuate". You might say that it
will eventually eventuate.
