The Boilermaker Jazz Band from Pittsburgh PA, does "Mona Lisa" as a
Swing Dance tune, quite successfully. You can see them playing it for
the dancers on You Tube at:

Older festival fans may remember the Boilermakers first incarnation as
a George Lewis clone band. Not any more. They are VERY popular on the
Swing Dance circuit east of the Mississippi.
They'll be playing at the refurbished Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown
PA later this month and make regular road trips playing swing dance
venues throughout the Eastern USA.
Those who know leader Paul Cosentino might ask him how their new life
playing for young folks at Swing Dances compares with their previous
life playing for old folks at OKOM festivals.
