In 1945 Bunk Johnson recorded "Marie Elena", a pop ballad of the day. 
This had been recorded in 1940 by both Lawrence Welk and Wayne King, but 
the big hit version was by Jimmy Dorsey in 1941.

Having been blessed by one of the founding fathers, this tune is 
eligible to be part of the OKOM repertoire, but I've never heard anyone 
do it.  Perhaps it was a last minute filler for side B and really 
sucked. Going to have to dig it out and listen hard.
