Just about every time the Fourth Street New Orleans Jazz
Band plays, whether it be at The Sonoma County Fair or for a
special event or party - someone is bound to come up to the
band and ask the same question. "Are you guys from New
Orleans?" The answer is, "No, but our style of playing jazz
definitely is." From its beginning, Fourth Street has & still is
learning from the great founders of traditional jazz. King
Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Kid Ory and more
recently the Preservation Hall Jazz Band have been great
sources of inspiration.

For this session of the Napa Valley Dixieland Jazz Society
you will hear some of the finest jazz musicians of Northern
California: Jeff Green on Banjo, Don Neeley on Soprano
Sax and Clarinet, Ron Dubin, Leader, on Trombone & Blues
Harp, Jan Stiers on Piano, Tom Barnebey on Tuba, Chris
Calley on Tenor Sax and Clarinet, Stan Greenberg on Drums.

And one more thing. . . . . . . . . ..
Don't forget your dancing shoes, because this band puts out
a really good beat!

One month later, NVDJS will feature San Francisco Feetwarmers Jazz Band
on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 from 1-5 PM at the same location.

Spacious Dance Floor. The lodge has Food and a Full Bar.
