Hello all,

The Jelly Roll Morton website has been updated with the following 4 articles
of great historical interest:

Peter Hanley sends an in-depth essay on the St. Louis ragtime pianist Robert
Hampton. This accompanies Hampton's WWI draft registration card, and
includes much detailed and previously unknown information.

Hal Smith, the noted Californian drummer, sends an excellent essay on
Chicago drummer Andrew Henry Hilaire. This accompanies Hilaire's WWI draft
registration card. Mention of Jelly Roll Morton, Doc Cook, Florence Mills,
Freddie Keppard and Eddie South.

Peter Hanley sends a superb essay on Harry Edward Dunn. This accompanies
Dunn's WWI draft registration card. Devotees of Jelly Roll Morton will
recognize Harry Dunn as the Georgia Skin card game player. A
not-to-be-missed read.

Prof. Alan Wallace and Brian Goggin send an obituary notice for Andrew H.
Hilaire from The Chicago Defender, dated Saturday, 17th August 1935.

The above items can be accessed from the grey UPDATED BOX at:

Coming soon --- in-depth essays by my team of top-class international
researchers, accompanied by WWI draft cards of Lee (Mert) Perry, Jasper
Taylor, Buddie Petit (Joseph Crawford), Paul J. Wyer (Pensacola Kid), Ezra
C. A. Wickemeyer, Sanford Brunson Campbell and many others.

Musically yours

Mike
