JACK WIARD

Thanks so much for the kind words, Jack. To clear things up a bit, though,
I would like to mention that we don't actually have a "leader" in the group,
although it might seem that I am the leader as I am the only sort of cheeky
guy on the stand! :>

I was particularly worried, knowing that you're a clarinetist, that you
would feel the need for a clarinet in our band. As I explained, our sop sax
retired about 6 yrs ago, and the trumpeter & I felt that we could have more
fun with the two instrument harmony rather than the normal 3 instruments.
Of course, this comes from Pepe & myself having played together for over 30
years, in our band & in uncountable recording sessions for Spanish artists.
So, it was nice to hear from you that the lack of the clarinet didn't upset
your enjoyement. As you will have noticed, our pianist takes care of the
clarinet break in Royal Garden Blues (where you have 3 breaks covered by the
3 wind instruments), for example. Fernando is a monster on piano!

You forgot to mention the jam packed, late Tuesday night crowd! Madrid is a
grand city for night life, and any old night will do, as you can attest to
now!

To the rest of you, come on over and say hello.

Jim
