Here's a little bit of stuff about us:

The New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra was formed in 1984 by a group of musician
members of the Sydney Jazz Club. The NWJO¹s main purpose is to perpetuate
the music associated with Bix Beiderbecke, yet to play it in the Australian
manner pioneered by Graeme Bell and others. Over time, the repertoire has
broadened to include material by Jelly Roll Morton: early Duke Ellington:
Louis Armstrong Hot Fives and Sevens: Artie Shaw Gramercy Five and many
others. Although personnel has varied over the years, the NWJO continues to
be regarded as one of the world¹s leading traditional jazz bands and
internationally one of Australia¹s best known jazz bands and has performed
to great acclaim all over Australia, Europe and the USA.

And here's the line-up:

Geoff Power(cornet,trombone,vocals,arrangements)
Adrian Cunningham(clarinet,alto saxophone)
Jim Elliott(trombone,clarinet,tenor saxophone, arrangements)
Peter Locke(piano,arrangements)
Liam O'Connell(guitar,banjo)
Harry Harman(tuba,string bass)
Josh Duffee(drums)

We're all very much looking forward to the trip and catching up with old
friends (although I must say I am most excited about recording with
Vince<Herb and the Smith Street gang). I hope to meet many DJML-ers on this
trip - if you happen to catch one of our sets, please do come up and say
hello !!

Regards

Geoff
