Sure, Southside Chicago Seven played their 15th year at Stockdale
Country Club in Bakersfield, California. With the gas crisis, that our
fearless leader is unaware of, the attendance was about 50% less than
normal, BUT it was really cool, seeing a 92 year old piano player walk
in with his family as he danced across the veranda with a BIG smile on
his face. The band played great, our bass player, a sub, for our
regular guy who was in Canada for the week, was the son of the
infamous Mary Osborne, the female guitarist of the late 40s and 50's.
If you are unsure of who she was, go to the Art Ford Jazz Concerts on
utube. He is an excellent bass player, but SHE was a monster.
