Well, Ross, that opens up a whole different thread.  Although it has gone
around already on DJML several times, it is still a worthwhile subject to
discuss.

The general public's first impression of a band IS what they see, and less
what they hear.  Therefore, it should be the first subject on any
bandleader's mind....and is normally the last on the members of the band ("I
don't really have to put THAT on, do I?").

But, it is not just down to the clothes the band wears, it is also how the
band behaves on the stage...and, off the stage.

If the public isn't won over by the visual part, chances are the more
intricate musical part will be harder for them to capture.
