Shalom Jazz Fans,
I am back home after a month on the road trekking around the US. This trip
was mostly to visit family, but it turned out to be a productive jazz
journey as well.
I was privileged to meet, hear and/or play with all of the following fellow
trad-jazzers:
Crown City Dixieland Band, Pasadena, CA
Rudy Eleff, President of the Society for the Preservation of Dixieland Jazz
in West Covina, CA
Robert Butler, CJ Sams, Jim Jones, and numerous others at the SPDJ monthly
club date in West Covina.
Trumpeter Tom Loeb, leader of Nanette and the Hotsy Totsy Boys
Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band (appearing M-F afternoons at the Gold Coast
Casino Lounge)
Dan Augustine and Dave Stoddard in Austin, TX
and Steve Barbone in Philadelphia.
Meeting up with fellow DJMLers or other jazz musicians and bands in my
travels is always one of the highlights of the trip. Great to see you all. I
highly recommend taking the trouble to find one another when we all travel.
Of course, anyone coming to Israel is hereby invited to contact me. I am
happy to assist with your trip planning, sightseeing, and musical
activities. And I can almost always arrange some memorable listening and
playing experience.
Blessings from Jerusalem,
