Chuck Eastman was the banjo player for Gene Berthelsen's Catsnjammers.  He 
passed away a couple of days ago from lung Cancer.

Below is from his widow.

Services for Chuck Eastman  will be held at 2 pm Tuesday January 8th
at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial
Park at 900 Santa Fe Ave in  Hughson California, 95326. Burial will
also take place at that location. To get to Hughson from Sacramento,
go about 75 miles south on Route 99 to the Hatch Road exit (in Ceres)
and turn left (or east) and follow it about 5 mies until you come to
Santa Fe Ave.,  turn left left onto Santa Fe Ave; Lakewood is just a
short distance and will be on the right.   If you are coming from the
south still take the Hatch Road exit but turn right onto Hatch Road.

don't give up)
