>  In the late fifties one John Lennon -a  jazz hating member of an up &
coming Liverpol  beat group told members of the then popular working trad
musicians "It's time you guys moved over I'ts our turn now"  Unfortunately
it all came to pass.


Lennon's father (who was not around when John grew up) was a (rather poor)
banjo player - when his son hit it big, he made one novelty recording, made
enough money to get his teeth capped, and then once again slipped into
much-deserved obscurity.
