Bruce when I saw the index of your "dixieland book", I knew that I had a copy.
I purchased my copy from one Alfred J. Kinney from Parma, Ohio, June 2, 1992.
I also have the two 90 minute tapes he had available. I've kept my receipt in the
book all these years.

I know several musicians in the Stockton-Sacramento area had a copy, and I
got the address from one so I could order a copy.

Thanks to Craig Johnson, Vickye Blatherwick, and Bill Haesler

for help identifying Paul Barbarin as the composer of "Give It Up".
I'm assuming he wrote it around 1962, when his record came out.

The fakebook I found this tune in had no identifying information
  (author, publisher, address, contact info).
It was apparently assembled viz copy machine in 1989. I have scanned its
index. These are JPG files, each about 900 KB.

There are some unusual tunes in it. I wonder if someone on DJML is the
  source of this interesting book.

I have two more tunes from this fakebook that I'm trying to identify.
I've uploaded PDF files for them:

  "Indian Sagua" <http://www.bestangeland.com/music/IndianSagua.pdf<http://www.bestangeland.com/music/IndianSagua.pdf>>
  and "In The Gutter" <http://www.bestangeland.com/music/InTheGutter.pdf<http://www.bestangeland.com/music/InTheGutter.pdf>>

  Thanks again,

Reading the chart and Bill's choice of 2 bands,
I could have sworn it was Barbarin as the author.
After listening to a shord audio clip on Amazon.com
of Barbarin's White Eagle Jazz Band

  I am sure it is.

  Regards,
  Craig Johnson
