Dear Hans,
This Bill Coleman tune, recorded in Paris on 31 January 1936 with Bill
Coleman (t) Edgar Courance (cl/ts) Jean Ferrier (p) Oscar Aleman (g)
Eugene d'Hellemmes (sb) and William (or is it Hurley) Diemer (d) is a
nice riff type 'session' tune, based on a standard progression and
probably named in the studio to celebrate Joe Louis' knockout win over
boxer Paolino Uzcudun at Madison Square Garden two weeks earlier on 14
Dec 1935.
Playing it now.
I doubt that sheet music exists (but could be wrong), although someone
may have transcribed it at some time. There are no other recorded
versions that I know of.
Kind regards,
Bill.
