Is this the trumpet guy I saw with the Preservation Hall band a couple of weeks ago in Stevens Point, WI? Full house in the Sentry Insurance building auditorium. +718 people. I went there to hawk my Tribute to Bix fest. Took 8 hours to get home because of a late night snowfall.> From: robert at ringwald.com> Date: Sun, 17 Feb 2008 15:26:44 -0800> Subject: [Dixielandjazz] John Brunious RIP> CC: dixielandjazz at ml.islandnet.com> To: bixguy at hotmail.com> > John Brunious, 67; trumpeter led New Orleans' Preservation Hall Jazz Band> >From the Associated Press> February 16, 2008> > Trumpeter John Brunious, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band's leader and the> senior> member of the New Orleans ensemble, died Tuesday after an apparent heart> attack in> Orlando, Fla., where he had been living since Hurricane Katrina.
