Dixie was brewed on Tulane Avenue near the intersection of Jefferson Davis Parkway. The building is still there, but they were in financial quicksand long before Katrina.

Jax (not Jaz) was the Jackson Brewing Company on the waterfront in the French Quarter. The building is still there but has become a multifloor shopping mall.

The Falstaff Brewing Company building is still near the corner of Tulane Avenue and Broad Street, within spitting distance of the State courthouse and Orleans Parish Prison. One or two lights are on in the building each night. The big feature is the vertical sign with a ball on top. It used to predict weather: the ball would light up red, green, or white for rain, clear, or changing. The letters of the sign would light bottom to top or top to bottom to show temperature trend. The ball on top is still lit (usually white) because the sign is tall enough to need an aircraft anti-collision light.
