Dear Bob,
Nice Al Grey story.
In the late 1970s (memory now clouded over) the charming bluesman,
pianist/singer Little Brother Montgomery, made a jazz tour of eastern
Australia.
One of his stipulations was that he have a six pack of his favourite
beer, Heineken, at the piano.
What he didn't know was, that at that time, Australia imported the
original full strength version from Holland.
Unfortunately, Little Brother was more familiar with the low-alcohol
American product.
You guessed it.
He didn't appear after interval on his first outing here in Sydney.
Kind regards,
Bill.
