[Dixielandjazz] Youth Dixieland Festival

Hey Bay Area Left Coasters:

Spotted this paragraph. Who are these "youth" bands and who is the  
East Bay Trad Jazz society? Surf their web site. Ain't it amazing what  
you can do at the grass roots level to get kids INVOLVED and grow a  
new audience.

Do these kid bands perform at the Sacto Jubilee?

Wouldn't it be nice if JEN, or TJEN could do this in other cities?

"Youth Dixieland festival: Three bands, Jazz Raptors, Jazzinators and  
Dixie Dominus, will play Dixieland jazz from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., with  
30-minute jam sessions at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Jan. 31 at Pizza Depot,  
43450 Grimmer Blvd., Fremont. Admission is free, but donations are  
gladly accepted after each band's performance to help with their  
expenses, to support youth jazz scholarships and programs, and to  
promote the continuance of traditional American jazz for youth
