The cd I was referring to is a recent Riverside 3 cd compliation. Johnny Wiggs and Armand Hug (was that his real name? Did he have a brother named "Handand Shake?) sounds correct. Thanks for your great detective work! Regards, art

Subj:Re: Riverside Album "Sounds of New Orleans" personnel question
Artwoo at aol.com asked:
There is an album by Riverside Records called "Sounds of New Orleans"
Track 15 on Disc 2 has a piano trumpet duet of I'm Coming Virginia.
I am stumped as to who the players are.
Since I use Rhapsody as my source, I don't have access to the original
record or CD.
Any help would be appreciated.
Here is a link to the real player website for this track:

Dear Art,
Never the easy ones!!!
Unfortunately the link you gave [above] will not recognise aliens and
replied:
"U.S. Only. We're sorry. We have detected that you are outside of the
United States. This service is currently only available to residents
within the United States."
Unfortunately, a search of my Riverside files did not reveal a "Sounds
of New Orleans" album.
The best I could find, based on the other information you provided,
which fits, is
Johnny Wiggs (cornet) Armand Hug (piano)
New Orleans, LA, October 1, 1955
Dardanella Storyville
I'm Coming, Virginia
Both on Danish Storyville SLP6009 and STCD6009 [CD]
However, "I'm Coming, Virginia" is track 10 on Volume Two of
Storyville's 'Sounds Of New Orleans' series.
Back to you.
Kind regards,
Bill.
