Dear Brian,
It's "The Two Fat Polka (I Don't Want Her-You Can Have Her-She's Too
Fat For Me").
Written by Ross Maclean and Arthur Richardson.
A big hit for Arthur Godfrey [1903-83] the 'Old Redhead' in Jan 1947.
It made No. 2 and was in 'the charts' for 18 weeks.
Released on Columbia 37921 backed by "For Me And My Gal" [his only
million selling disc] accomp. by Archie Bleyer's Orch.
He was a vaudevillian banjoist in 1924, then ukelele. Popular US star
of radio (1930s-60s) and television (1940s-50s).
Kind regards,
Bill.
