Dear jazz lovers - fans, festival directors, jazz club members, all of you
who help
OKOM to continue -
I regret to tell you that, due to unexpected, certainly unwanted, and
serious health
problems, I must retire as pianist and leader of the St. Louis Rivermen, the
Jazz
Incredibles, and the Old St. Louis Levee Band. My web site,
www.jeankitttrell.com
, announces my retirement as of 21 July 2008.

The new leader of the St. Louis Rivermen is its incredible sousaphonist,
David "Red"
Lehr, and the new Business Manager is his wife, Carolyn Lehr. Their
contacts:  cell:618-444-8752;
res: 618-475-3169; bus: 618-475-2088; address: 8216 Baer Road, New Athens
IL 62264.

Very soon the St. Louis Rivermen will have a new email address and web site.
Ray
Templin is the new pianist with exciting Fats Waller-style vocals and piano.

I have shared with you jazz lovers so many good times, so many happy hours
of rejuvenating
jazz. I thank you for them. As I have said many times, it takes you as
well as
me, a listener as well as a player, to give us both our enjoyment of jazz.
So thanks
for listening--it's been a pleasure playing and singing for you.

Jean

"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or
a politician. And to
tell the truth, there's hardly any difference. I, for one, believe the piano
player job to be much more honorable than current politicians." --Harry
Truman
