It does seem true that a talented "good looking" Girl Singer (by Girl  
I mean young woman - just using the old OKOM term here) gets a lot  
more work than an equally talented one with more "average" looks.  
This also seems to be the case for instrumental soloists, especially  
in the classical music field.

  I don't know what can ultimately be done about this - I rarely find  
myself in the position of hiring any musicians, but when I do, my  
criteria are more towards talent and availability than looks.
