The interesting thing about being active on myspace is that you get to
hear all sorts of current musical offerings. And like Marek says,
there is plenty of Gypsy swing, Western Swing, Guitar swing, etc. Not
much US Dixieland, but lots of European Dixieland, from Serbia to
Sweden. Why is that, USA band leaders?
Marek, for another treat hear a Boswell Sisters type group, just back
from a European tour and based in Portland Oregon USA, called "Stolen
Sweets": Go to:

Or go to my "myspace" page under my signoff, and check them out among
my "friends". Just click on their logo for their song offerings.
Funny that they are not seen at USA OKOM Festivals, yet actively
touring Europe.Hmmm.
Yep, there is all kinds of great music being performed at the
nightclub, street festival, swing dance, public concert level that
many of us oldsters are unaware of. Perhaps because we don't get out
much, or maybe we are too inner directed. For a sample of what's out
there, go to my "myspace" page and check out my "friends". Just
click on logos for their song offerings. So much music, so little
time. Seeing/hearing what is going on in the here and now will renew
your faith in the music of the young. Lots of good among the bad.
Cheers,
