Gee Dave, $85 bucks today is like $10 when we were kids.
Regarding the book, it has so much good advice in it for string players and
repairers. One example on Double Bass is a simple way to increase the sound
production and tone of an unamplified Double Bass.
$85 bucks? Shoot, you should make more than that in a one hour gig.
Ask Ron Carter, or ask the principal bass player of the NY Philharmonic
about it. They rave about its worth.
I repeat, the book is well worth the pittance it sells for in comparison to
the knowledge gained.
Cheers,
Steve Barbone
