Interesting piece, Steve, Sol not being *that* well known here in the UK. 
Another clarinet player of that same era, again not well known here, but a 
favourite of mine based on his recordings with Red Norvo, was/is Aaron 
Sachs. Do you have any first hand knowledge/info etc about him ?
