That must have been fun to do. In what order did you record the tracks?

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] Brass Ensemble track up on You Tube

Shalom Jazz Fans,

I have just uploaded the next preliminary track to you Tube. It is my own
arrangement of "Carolina in the Morning" for brass quintet. Hear it at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMskBITzMaM

So far I am finding the brass ensemble recording to come out tighter than
the banjo band, possibly because I'm playing written parts. This one is the
best of the 4 tracks we have so far.

I will post a Dixieland sample soon, when I have one ready. I do not intent
to post all of the tracks on You Tube, because if I did, who would buy the
CD? But I do want to share a taste of the thrill when the songs come
together. Anyone who has ever tried this kind of recording knows the agony
and the ecstasy of it. But it sure feels good when it works.

Enjoy.
