According to the 1930 US census:

Name: 	Jo Trent
Spouse: 	Nancy
Birth: 	abt 1893 - Illinois
Residence: 	1930 - Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California

The census also states that this Jo Trent is Black.

There are several Jo Trents listed so I do not know that this is the one we're interested in learning about.
