Ha, Fra Mike they are wonderful. I've been to their site from the beginning.
You may recall that I posted about them at least a year ago and included the
site which then had some live music from a club and a Young and very
appreciative audience.
Love their school kids Saints. We get similar reactions. If you are in my
area on September 21, fall by the Chadd's Ford Elementary School where
Barbone Street is doing a 3 hour program for the kids, 5 to 10, and their
parents. It is a dedication of an "outdoor classroom", includes hot dogs and
hamburgers and we expect 250 kids plus their parents. 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
We will us an "anybody can play jazz theme" with a band version that
includes blacks, whites, women, old farts and a 27 year old.
We get them to clap[ on 2 and 4. Simply by encouraging them to do so and
clapping on 2 and 4 with them. Just tell them it's hip. <grin>
Cheers,
Steve Barbone
