Yes, yes!

It's been 5 years since I was there, but back then I went several times to
Prague and found some great bands. As far as I know they would still be
around. Here is the info:

* U Prince Hotel restaurant across from the Astronomical Clock Tower in the
old town square has a full live band EVERY NIGHT from about 8:00. Good
restaurant too. Tell the banjo player Marek that the banjo player from
Israel sent you. He won't remember my name, but he should remember me. They
invited me to sit in with the band a couple times. He speaks English, and he
referred me to many worthwhile music stores in town. He'd probably know
where you can find the other bands.

* Sundays around noon in the old town square, the Starometsky Jazz Band
plays in the square for a couple hours. Not sure of the exact time, but
around noon. They do a good show. They might be playing somewhere else where
you can hear them during the week.

* Charles Bridge, the main old bridge across the river, has a Dixie band
that plays out there. I have heard about them many times but never caught
them, so I have no idea what time they're there. But people who go to Prague
still rave about them, so they should be around. There is a music store on
the west side of the rover just adjacent to the bridge that might know where
and when to find them.

That's what I know, but there might be others. Ask in the tourist center
offices, music stores, or at the sites.

Prague has a lot of musical activity. Take the flyers people pass out on the
streets. They might clue you in to some good shows.

Hi Listmates:

Will be in Prague, Czech Republic
for a few days next week.

Anyone know of cabarets there that
feature Trad Jazz?
