I've had this site in my "favorites" for ages, and I visit from time to
time.
I don't know whether to give more glaring awards to the music or the ideas
for the films. This guy Steve is "an innovator" in the style of the
comments lately on DJML. He is also obviously well to do enough to be able
to put gobs of different videos together. Most (or all) of the trombone
playing is his.
He has great humor, as shown in the above mentioned movie where the
trombonist gets the call for the gig after even the accordianists have
turned down the same gig!
I salute his music & his ideas.
My favorite trombone joke: Why do trombonists tend to lead their own band?
Because no one else will hire them! Steve has got that idea down pat, and
he has gone off "and done his own thing"! Brilliant work. (Not necessarily
for everyone on DJML, though.)
