Perhaps the longest continuously running NYC live jazz series is Highlights
i n Jazz now in its 35 year. All Concerts are held at TRIBECA Performing
Arts Center, 199 Chambers Street ­ (212) 220-1460  See the near term

BTW there is a "surprise guest" at each concert. The surprise guest for the
concert one week from today is . . . drum roll please . . . JONATHAN
RUSSELL. The 12 year old jazz violinist has been HIRED to perform with the
guitar trio of Bucky P, Frank V, and James C. The kid's in fast company but
then "What's New?"

And note to Dec 13 concert of "Early Jazz". It doesn't get any better than
that. Especially for a measly $30, the cost of a ticket.
