That was one of 3 concerts over that weekend (one in Chicago, tie-in being Gene Pokorny, former tuba with the St Louis Symphony, now with the Chicago SO) celebrating Red's 70th birthday.  Whether it was planned to be that, or the Folk series happened to have the opening coinciding with Red's day, I dunno.
