Dick Baker asked about that mystery blues performed bu Ray Ellington.

I vote for "So What?" by Miles Davis.

Miles plays it (with Coltrane) as a modal blues on his famous "Kind of Blue"
album. Question is was he first, or did he hear Ellington and modify it?
Miles takes composer credit for it as performed on the album.
