Jack, didn't the New Imperial Jazz Band play at the Chic'n'deli at
the Haiti Relief fundraiser this past Sunday. I think two of the
guys were in the original New Imperial and I think Joe Irvine the
drummer is one of them.

You might try Jack MacKay or Clyde Clark for recordings of them.

In the early 60th, Toronto also had an Imperial Jazz Band. It was
led by Mike White on Cornet, Alphy Jones on trombone, Ian Arnott on
clarinet and I believe Larry Dubin on drums. Not too sure about
Piano and bass.
They have all passed on and I don't know if there was recording made
at the time.
