  It's been very interesting to see the comments roll in on this.
   
  I don't understand much about the subject and I admit that.
   
  If those who attribute an artist's lofty accomplishments to his/her
  own virtue, thought life, mental condition etc. are right, then Bobby 
  Hackett was indeed a supersaint!
   
  What about the word "gift"?  Isn't it considered a gift to excel in music or is it because of the person?
   
  I have to cut this off to go to the dinner table for Thanksgiving.
